What is a user license and a license extension?
When you purchase a new license, it includes the tech tool store user license, which costs $20. This is the license that grants you the right to use the application, and you only buy it once. The remaining of the price is the validity of your license ($10 for one year, $18 for 2 years, and so on).
Once your license validity expires (or before it does), you can purchase a validity extension, which will reactivate your license for the desired time. In this case case you will no longer need to pay for the $20 user license again.
