Hi betacode. What do you mean by "Reset device manager to default"? What's there to reset? Do you know how it is done? Registry? A command, maybe? Thanks.
One thing we humans have in common is that we are all different. So, if you think you're weird because you're different from everyone else, then we are all weird.

What does that even mean? Unless all computers are the same, what is a 'default' on one computer will not be the default on any other. Unless it means re-enable all disabled devices and who has that many disabled devices that UVK needs a tool to regularly undo that?

Reset to default as in clean install of os before any app installed.

So....uninstall ALL devices and force a fresh scan? What purpose would that serve?

"...before any app installed" -- but very very few apps install devices. It's not like Adobe Reader cares if you have on ACPI driver installed over another.

As part of my fix, I use a program called DeviceCleanup from www.uwe-sieber.de and use the command line option to auto-run it and remove any devices the PC hasn't seen for over 60 days. Gets rid of old flash drives and such, a tiny repair but why not?
